The Systems Operations Specialist provides training support to the Armed Forces to enable equipping, training, and associated support. The Systems Operation Specialist will be responsible for coordinating the training of CONUS and OCONUS units on Counter Improvised Explosive Device (C-IED) and emerging asymmetric processes, practices, concepts and materiel capabilities into viable client solutions. This position will coordinate with the training centers to provide classroom and realistic training scenarios and create training curriculum from the lessons learned in relation to C-IED operations.

Qualifications:

Candidates must have extensive experience in a combat arms specialty and experience in one or all of the following areas: C-IED reconnaissance, surveillance, target acquisition, combat development, research and development, acquisition, and/or government testing. Applicants must be extremely knowledgeable and well read into Doctrine, Organization, Training, Materiel, Leadership and Education, Personnel and Facilities (DOTMLPF) duties. 

  • Bachelors Degree or ten (10) years of equivalent military experience
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Security Clearance (Active US Security Clearance, with the ability to acquire TS/SCI, preferred)
  • Staff Non Commissioned Officer, Leadership experience
  • Recent/relevant military experience in-theatre (Iraq and/or Afghanistan)
  • Two plus (2+) years of recent training experience in US Government overseas C-IED  initiatives
  • Specialized experience in the joint military training environment including C-IED training experience
  • Detailed knowledge of training processes to counter IEDs to include operational/tactical and staff/leadership programs
  • Training in analytical and evaluative techniques
  • Ability to conduct complex studies concerning the efficiency and effectiveness of organizational training programs and organizational training principles and practices
  • Knowledge and experience in counter terrorist search techniques
  • Military Master Training Specialist or equivalent (i.e., minimum four years instructional experience in lieu of training qualifications)
  • Operational experience in:
    • Developing technical curriculum
    • Delivering stand-up classroom and field instruction
  • Experience working in developing countries in remote locations, austere living conditions, and challenging environments
  • Competency with Microsoft programs, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Must be willing to accept requisite responsibilities for working with or around weaponry and explosives in a training medium or in an operational environment
  • Must be able to deploy overseas as required
